Life doesn’t always go the way we expect. For me, the past few years have been filled with both loss and healing. In 2022, my grandmother passed away—on my birthday. Last year, while sitting on a park bench at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Jollywood Nights on that same day, I was thinking about her and the time we shared. That’s when it hit me: I’ll never remember the money I spent, but I’ll always remember the moments. The laughter. The love. The memories with my Mammy and with Nigel. Those memories are priceless.
Earlier this year, I lost Nigel— our Boston Terrier, my own little Toothless—to leukemia. Nigel was fearless through all his treatments, and my girlfriend and I always felt lucky to have him in our lives. He loved staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort, and when I check in there again soon, I know he’ll be with me in spirit. I truly believe we’ll see each other again.
Recently, we welcomed a new buddy into our family—August Baloo. He’s brought new joy into our lives, reminding us that love and connection always find a way forward.
Carrying Their Legacy Forward
My grandmother always encouraged me to follow my passions. Nigel lived every day with courage and joy. Starting DisWiz Dollars became my way of honoring them. It’s not just about saving money at Disney and Universal—it’s about making sure people understand something I realized on that park bench: money meets the magic when it creates moments that last forever.
Finding Joy Again
Grief doesn’t disappear. Some days it still lingers. But when I’m filming, exploring the parks, or connecting with you here, I feel joy again. DisWiz Dollars has helped me turn my pain into purpose, while reminding me of the magic that first inspired me to dream big.
Why
DisWiz Dollars
Matters
This project isn’t only about finding deals or stretching budgets—it’s about what happens when you let your money meet the magic. Because when you do, you create memories that are worth more than anything money could ever buy.
Even though I still miss my Mammy and Nigel deeply, I carry them with me in everything I do. Their love and courage live on through this project. And every time I share a tip, a story, or a video, it feels like I’m honoring their legacy.
✨ Thank you for being here and for supporting DisWiz Dollars. Together, we’re proving that magic isn’t just something we visit—it’s something we create.
